Status Updates From The Color Purple

I can’t believe I’m only 41% into The Color Purple and I’ve already reached roughly 90% of what I remember from the film I watched as a teenager. Now I’m genuinely excited to see what else this book has to offer that never made it onto the screen. I went into this thinking I knew the story, and apparently I really, really don’t.
