Status Updates From The Supernaturalist

I have read until page 183, and the genre is science fiction and fantasy. I know it is fantasy because it takes places in a city that seems out of the ordinary and in the future with not natural parasites that heal people.
For science fiction I know it because they also use batons to send out gum electric shots or just regular electric shots that can hurt and stopping the enemy in seconds. Today's topic is Genre.

It is a good book about a boy in a futuristic city where if kids don't have a parent they go to an orphanage to be tested on all kinds of drugs and stuff. Cosmo the main character doesn't want to live in the orphanage and so he barely escapes with a friend, but the friend goes missing and he was taken in by a group. The group is called Supernatrualists who fight against creatures that suck on people's life force.
