"the slave is sold once and for all; the proletarian must sell himself daily and hourly." damn, was engel's pen on fire when he wrote that line?? i find that engels has a tendency to be either vague or super specific when answering each question. im not sure if he had any pre-requisite reading in mind, but the vague answers do prompt you read more stuff. doesn't make it bad--it's actually great.
