this is genuinely one of my favourite books ever written. there is something so inherently luca guadanino in its core. love despite yourself, lust and desire all paint a beautifully emotional picture of raw emotion, intensity and the way every fibre of being is effected by first great love. besson’s ability to write characters poignantly capture something i am grateful to reread with more experience/ older eyes.
