Status Updates From Before the Play: Prequel to...

The bit about the doggie costume made so much sense now. And the story in scene 3 was also heartbreaking.

Holy cow whoever thought it was a good idea to cut this prologue from the original The Shining book made a grave mistake (at least from my point of view). These stories are absolutely important to help build up the lore, and helped make sense of all the (things?) that occurred in the hotel.

"It's like something died up in the walls and everybody who comes here can smell it from time to time."
