Ngl, I’m so confused how I’m so close to the end… and this story is going to wrap up? Nothing feels resolved or developed?? Everything in the first half was so strong 🥲 but I’m nervous this ending is gonna flop so bad?

Either poor editing or lack of knowledge on the writer’s part. Corporals are not officers. They don’t wear peaked officers’ caps and are not called ‘sir’. Sergeants don’t ‘assist’ corporals (p.159). The book is ok but these constant errors and references I have found disturbing in the narrative

I’m so excited to be finally digging into this properly now that my flu has settled and my new job has calmed. I will be finishing this one VERY soon.
