this is motivational in small doses! all the examples cited to support her points are good
if you read too much at once though the overwhelming feeling is of the author's strong personality (e.g. very pushy and unyielding when she wants something, choregraphing a piece as an act of revenge, rigid overly high expectations for people, etc.) so that detracts from the overall book :(
i may not finish this

starting to get a bit iffy about the author's attitude to life, it's like the guy in little miss sunshine "failure is not an option!" and "you must fight fight fight!" which made me think, well, yes failure can and does happen and it's good to be prepared so you can bounce back (or at least cope until you recover). however she's now started discussing murphy's law which has made me soften towards her but i'm guarded

the author's voice comes through so strongly on this one, she's very opinionated but also full of life, active and forward looking. (one example cited, someone asked a 91 year old musician why he was practicing, and he replied, 'because i'm improving' - and it's true! why wouldn't you?) this book is a quick zap of encouragement

short but excellent! women who know what they want to do and pursue it their whole entire lives are so inspiring to me. her voice sounds like she has a very strong personality lol

Not sure if I’ll finish this book - it’s a bit self helpy and not quite the book I thought it would be.
