GENRE: The genre of Elijah of Buxton is historical fiction. I know this because it is set in a real place during a specific time period. This is why Elijah of Buxton is historical fiction.
I don't know why it says I spelled Buxton wrong I used the book to spell it

The whole book is written in slang. Makes it harder for kids learning to read proper English. It would be different if they ONLY did slang when in speaking terms. But the whole book including the narrative is purposely written in slang. So a bit disappointed. Had some good laughs but overall the book reading out loud to my kids was stressful.
