Also, for the sake of anyone else who saw the title and whose brain automatically assumed a medieval fairy tale ... this is contemporary romance. Not sure why it took me 'til now to actually check the genre.
I'm now mildly annoyed, but will attempt to enjoy the book for what it is. Sigh, and I was really in the mood for a medieval fairy tale involving a thief, a damsel, a dragon, and that rose.

This is the second book now that I have opened for the first time via Kindle Unlimited and it wasn't at chapter 1.
