Status Updates From In Deep: The FBI, the CIA, ...

Current audiobook. So far it's a history of how presidents have used the FBI and CIA rather than a tin-foil hatter. It also reminds me how terrible Regan was.

I have like an hour left and it's just the impeachment stuff.... but I'm switching over to listen to William Burr a little more first. Trying to line it up so I can hear his perspective on it right after I finish this one.

This is actually pretty helpful in understanding this whole issue.

He spent several minutes on the beginning of William Barr's career in this chapter, then summarized his career as "40 years working to increase the power of the president - limiting power of Congress.

And his book is also on my loan shelf right now, so I'm going to go listen to that introduction and hear how he presents himself now (40 years later) and how he describes his own career path, accomplishments, goals...
