Souls who make progress in Purgatory are those who have someone to pray for them. Punishment is suited to the sin. Justice binds avarice to looking at the ground as it wasted all its opportunities to do good on earth. Sloth gets no rest but must be on the run non-stop. Jesus teaches: “Store up for yourselves treasures in heaven ... for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
