Status Updates From Be Not Far from Me

She bashes a possum's skull in front of its children and thinks about killing the children, but decides to shoo them away. She cooks the mother and makes some food. Over the days, she eats it. She leaves the meth lab and continues trying to find a way out of the place. She has a lot of flashbacks about half of the book is flashbacks.

She gets the flint and takes it. She finds a meth lab with a lot of pills and some very old gurnola bars. She eats some pills and gurnola bars, and I think she washes them down with some good old whiskey. She takes a lot of pills and cuts her foot off in a fast motion. She then later on uses her foot as bait to get food.

He went into the mountains and never came back, mainly because his girlfriend left him. She is contemplating whether she wants to cut off her foot because it might kill her, but if she does, she won't go to college because she got a scholarship for running, so if she loses it, she loses it all and gets no college. She also finds Flint doing it. very convenient

The book starts by describing everyone. I'm skipping some parts typing about it becuase its drama and stuff that takes too much room. After she fall she passes out. She does stuff to her foot to try not to get it infected. She still gets infected. She has a lot of reminiscing about her past and what she learned from a guy called Davy, all about how to survive.
