Camilla is attacked while at the track in spite of Wyatt hiring a bodyguard. She is drugged with the same stuff that someone has been using on the horses. It turns out it is a new street drug and with the help of one of town they are able get a sample and get Piper to test it at her lab. If they can figure out a reliable test they can get to the bottom of who is drugging the horses and why.

Wyatt and Camilla start falling for each other while working with getting the horses ready for race season. They take the plunge and become a couple right before she has to leave for the track. The town has been betting on this since she came to town so no one is surprised.

Wyatt has inherited his family horse racing farm on the death of his great grandmother. He is happy being a large animal vet and is now struggling to pay the bills with the farm holding him down. It has been in the family for 300 yrs so he just can't let go without giving his best effort. He has one amazing 2yr old that could be something with the right training.
