Status Updates From Mated

I'm not even halfway through the book and I am seriously frustrated with the fact that Gideon is keeping his motives for having Wren in his pack a complete mystery. He sets up a mating between Wren and Yelena yet makes it clear he wants Wren for himself. Gideon is the pack Alpha. What he's doing to them both is just wrong and playing on Wren's emotions when he knows Wren has a crush on him is brutal.

I despise Gideon. I truly hate him. If he and Wren end up together (and I know they will, considering both are the MC’s), I am going to scream as I ask myself why the f*** I continued with this book. Seriously though. Seriously Tricia Owens, WTF??

Yelena is confirmed asexual - woop woop!

“What if I didn’t offer?” Gideon dropped the hand that had been touching Wren’s pulse. He placed it high on Wren’s thigh, a mere inch from where all the blood in Wren’s body was gathering. “What if I told you I’m going to do it and I want you to sit here like a good little pup and enjoy your alpha’s attention?”

He pointed at an overstuffed chair beside a window which Wren hadn’t noticed because he’d been so fixated on the unmade bed. A bed from which the potent, heady smell of the alpha emanated, making Wren feel slightly dizzy.
