The writing feels so unnatural that I don't know if I'm gonna keep reading :( I can't really get into the story because it's so obvious it's written by someone that the story doesn't transport you anywhere. A real shame because I like the idea behind this

This is such a bad start because if shit doesn’t make sense now.. where is this book going?

I’m not done ranting. No one’s first thought when they encounter a fire is “PUT IT OUT WITH AIR!”

For a second I thought she was 14 but no, this bitch is SEVENTEEN.

And it makes zero sense that a student would get expelled from an accident of the FIRST class on FIRST day of school.

It especially makes no sense that a student with all 12 marks would get expelled since it’s supposed to be so RARE.

Fine. She dumb. Makes an explosion, gets sent to principals office.
The second DUMB thing is that the principle tells her she should get expelled for that!! I’m like.. what? That makes zero sense. Why?? They’re teaching magic. They’re not even teaching. They’re just saying: do it. Of course crazy shit will happen.

If that’s how this book continues I’m not gonna make it.

Huh? This book is not making sense. Like. At all.
So, this empty headed girl, in her first class is asked to make fire with zero direction. She does and it gets out of control. This genius thinks of trying to put out a FIRE with AIR.
