Status Updates From Illusion

Hmmm... I'm a little sad... I'm not loving this as much as I used to in previous reads. :( Mainly coz she is quite dense and long in her descriptions and I haven't been eager to pick it up. I first read this as a teen and loved it... did I skim the descriptions or do I have less patience now? 😳 But the story and characterization are still ah-mah-zing!! 😍

I’m too jittery and this is going to be due back in two weeks with no chance of renewing and I can’t. I’ll try again later.

The library hasn't got this one so I had to call it in from another library. And I was expecting a dinky little fantasy 90s paperback, as you do--not a behemoth of a fantasy novel that's 577 pages and instantly puts me in mind of that The Queens of Innis Lear book with its huge lush chapter markers and font size nine and paragraphs that fill a page.

Well! This shall be an event, then!
