Status Updates From Vaders en zonen

Natuurlijk een beetje klassiek met lastige woorden maar nog redelijk goed te volgen. Ben erg benieuwd hoe dit gaat verlopen want je voelt een beetje spanning ontstaan, vooral tussen bazarov en Pavel. Dat zijn in mijn perspectief ook de interessantste

What an a**hole! Good for Arkandy stepping up but I think it’s a bit too late. I want to think bazarov is like that as a defensive mechanism but I’m not so sure. His parents love him so much. Makes me reflect on the times I’ve said goodbye to my folks. What were they thinking? What emotions did they have?

Bazarov leaving Anna like that was expected. Arkandy can tell bazarov is slipping tho he’s trying to not. Reading how lovely bazarovs parents are surpised me. They’re adorable even with what little they have. Maybe being home will reveal a softer side of bazarov and Arkandy will come to understand more of him and not be a follower but his equal & friend.

I did not expect these pages to be so intense. Ive yet read such a strong confession of feelings from a book. Bazarov feels so confused. And Anna Who’s so depressed and yet her thoughts about his confession screams passion like she’s felt it before. The nihilism of bazarov is cracking. Arkandy is jealous of them, I hope his time with katya can show him some shared happiness even platonically

So far, the introduction of Anna and katya seem that it will cause a rift on the intellectual friends. Arkandy wants Anna, bazarov although admired by her beauty, doesn’t really seem too attracted to her. But anna is falling for bazarov. While bazarov is more intrigued by katya. She’s 18 tho. What’s his intention?
