Does philosophy ever try to prove itself?

p.95, it seems that “Isak Dinesen” is rather a critics of a badly written biography.
p.111, “The circuit of Broch’s life and creativity,..was not actually a circle; rather, it resembled a triangle whose sides can be accurately labeled: Literature-Knowledge-Action.”

I found her statement about fraternity and friendship regarding human emancipation absurd. And when I think of it, non of her statements are testable, I guess that why she’s a philosopher rather than political scientist.

Dark Times: in which the public realm has been obscured and the world become so dubious that people have ceased to ask any more of politics than that it show due consideration for their vital interests and personal liberty.

p.10 “The pillars of the best-known truths…today lie shattered”, but have we ever asked if the pillars we do proudly relied upon, are illusions?
