Status Updates From Persistence of Memory

Oddly sad. Terribly sad. And yet a wonderful, unique version of love.

I'm easily suspending disbelief about his escape--after all, we weren't given much detail, perhaps it took five years for him to figure out what he wanted or needed to do--and I can mostly suspend disbelief that the first ppl he stumbles on are his family, but I am wondering why the "Facility" ppl aren't at least doing a cursory check of the nearby homes for their escapee....

Oh, and Tobin is adorable. One of those folks who love only once and deeply.

I'm ambivalent about this book thus far: the characters are so real, so full of life and feelings, I am right there--there is a startling immediacy to the story; however, the plot of memory loss has always bothered me--it aggravates me, like one of those annoying reboot tv episodes or "it was all a dream" things... such a waste.

This book is awesome. It made me cry. Love it!
