Status Updates From The Darkest Corner

I find it interesting that the main character got scared when her dad said, "It's your daddy, sugar. open the door... please" (Herschler 157). Then ran like the wind while scared to the roots.

This book is weird, i say that because it is kind of hard to follow on what is going on but it also isn't. since the plot is right in front of you but also hiding you want to find out what is going to happen next making you to want to read more just to find out.

in this part of the book, they are going on a walk to protest civil rights for black people and during the wall, this sensory detail happened.
"All of a sudden the police came lots of them leading ferocious dogs with wide open mouths and long sharp teeth aimed right at us .

In the book I am reading the darkest corner it starts in the summer and is explaining everything that the summer is looking like. so it talks about the reilds of crop and the pinewood that are in there area. so in the first couple pages that did personally bring me in more than if they just said that it was summer and that it was a nice summer.

It is definitely more interesting once it actually gets started. it is starting to roll a little more and I'm starting to like it a little.

the book is ok but i don't exactly know what is going on at the moment
