Status Updates From What's the Rush?

Who said you need to be the smartest person at the age of 20? Who said you need to be happy right now? Who said you need to be sad right now? You are in absolutely no rush to do anything in life. Slow down. Take it easy …. There is no rush in being happy; it takes time, and it takes work. And the day you stop and ask yourself, “what’s the rush?” is the day you start living and stop rushing through life.

They don’t deserve you. But you probably don’t believe me when I say that, because you may not believe that you are good enough …. They aren’t meant to be in your fucking life …. You must understand that the people who surround you today that you call friends or loved ones are supposed to be there. The ones that have left you on your journey were meant to leave. They were not meant to be in your life ….

I am waiting for peace, I am waiting for comfort, I am just waiting for the unknown at this point.

To find peace in life, you need to find it in yourself first.

I am addicted to the idea of finding my soulmate.

Then I watched a show called How I Met Your Mother …. This show inspired me to expand my life to include people, and open up to develop new friendships. A show that taught me heartbreak, sadness, how to be happy again, how to live with an ex, and how to be the nicest person in the room. It was there when I needed it most; it was there when I went through one of the toughest parts of my life when I felt so ….

When your path gets darker, step back and try to figure out how to create light.

That could have been me. Occasionally I think of how my life could have been depending on the paths that I chose and the ones that were provided for me. …. I am beyond thankful I live the life I live right now …. The path is something we all work for and all hope to find one day. I am sorry to break it to you, but you aren’t looking for the path, you are on the path right now. Your path will move ….

I am now thirty four years old, and just realizing that by not trying, I was failing before I even gave it a shot.

Hiding depression from yourself. This is not a common issue that is talked about, because the majority of people do not even realize that they are doing it. I am very thankful that I have the willpower in me to understand my depression & know when it is going to hit hard, & when it is giving me a break. It is still something that I cannot truly explain to the average human, but I understand it for myself pretty well

I started keeping more to myself, and only handling my friends’ problems and issues, rather than sharing my own …. I became my own personal therapist, which happens to be a gift and a curse. My friends never realized that I didn’t share anything about my personal life until I stopped talking to them. They started thinking of me when I wasn’t thinking of them.
