Status Updates From The Vintage Book of Indian ...

On a sunny afternoon on July, with the washing out and me also out by the river, I finished this book.

The sentences are so dense with ideas. All of them. This is what Salman Rushdie likes?

And I missed out A Suitable Boy too, because it's on my shelf to read soon.

These writings start off in the middle of stuff too often and so it's a little hard to get into the scenes. Being excepts from novels and memoirs doesn't help much.

Odd how skimmy a reading can be when distracted. Or maybe not off at all.

At last, a standalone story!

Disappointed that this is not a collection of stories. Feel cheated that I'm reading speeches, parts of autobiographies and chapters from books. I like that they are in chronological order of when the events in the writings we're set, though.
