So far this is really great. Touches on science but also friendship and problem solving. Thinking this may be a beginning of the year read aloud.

Heard an interview with the author on NPR. Preordered the first two books. My kids LOVE Magic School Bus and Magic Treehouse. This seems like a perfect combination of those, with more diverse characters. So far, two chapters in, I am enjoying reading it more than either of those titles (I bought the magic Magic Treehouse books on audio for a reason, I hate reading them aloud).
