This is good! Every character is fascinating to some extent. It’s set in Virginia Beach and the Eastern Shore. A number of the characters are classically trained musicians, even the main character private investigator, and a (fictional I believe) piece of music is central to the plot. Don’t know if readers less familiar with classical music would enjoy this, but I’m intrigued!

I've always been very fascinated with the Hungarian Suicide Song and I'm sure that that's what this whole thing is based on. I'm liking it.
