I love my British murder mysteries and their idiosyncrasies but, to date, the 2 detectives appear to be no more than 2 crooks with badges and a huge chip on their shoulders. I’ll finish the book and hope it will get better with those 2 but I am not at all sure I will enjoy it as much as I hoped to due to the detectives involved. I’m not a big fan of Poirot but would prefer his pedantic ways to the rude ones here
