This book is so intriguing and the author really knows how to reel you in. So much family drama with a scenario of a mother remarrying after her prior husband/father of her children died of an illness. To an abusive man who attempts to isolate her from everyone after she agrees to testify against him in a court case for assaulting her son for simply trying to see her after previous events.
