i can tell that the author is trying to say that video games wont help you in the real world- which i understand. but I've never played a video game thinking "I'll use this strategy when i get kidnapped in Indonesia to fight my captors"

I thought thsi book was about Alex. Why is it focusing so much on his parents and their relationship?
Also, i always find it weird even in fiction when a divorced couple falls back in love with eachother- I'm hoping that isn't what's happening.
I love how the author is trying to say that technology is bad when in fact- the main reason alex just got kidnapped is because he's a brat. Not because of "evil internet"
