I actually find this easier to understand than "Farewell to the Working Class", he spends less time discussing social-science thory and more time on discussing actual economic history. as with the other André Gorz book I read the author assumes the readers to be familiar with a lot of economic and sociological theory I only have a superficial knowledge of at best, but many of the arguments I recognize from environmentalists today just with way less references to Marxist economics revised and corrected
