Am I the only one feeling derangement by these lines?-
She was highly intelligent and might have pursued a career other than teaching, but this was not permitted. In fact, my first official job was also as a teacher. To be honest, I was only eighteen and quite miserable teaching young kids economics.
Why is teaching presented as something second rated? It's a very prestigious profession.
