Formatted poorly as a single file on Hoopla. Despite mostly explaining the story to us, the author manages to create a decently compelling narrative. For about 300 pages. Then frustration at the slow plot deepened. And emphasized the annoyance of reading explanations inside many characters’ heads. By 500 pages, I was flipping. By the time I skipped past page 1000 I was thinking, why am I doing this, this is crazy.
