Abusers love to paint the people they abuse as both hyper competent and hyper incompetent. You are both able to save them from their own misery and so stupid that it's a wonder you can leave the house without them. God forbid a woman do anything. Revenge is bad and ruminating on your trauma is bad but I understand where she's coming from. Strong start to the book!
