The novel that takes up the majority of this book, Dombey and Son, has now been finished. 😌
Probably my least favorite Dickens novel I've read. 😅 Not that it was bad. There was some good parts, but most of it was uninteresting, and a couple of the side plots did nothing to advance the narrative and could've been cut. I'd give it a 3/5. 😅
Now onto the last eight short stories!

The last three short stories from 1833-1837 (including one I previously read in The Pickwick Papers) were fine. Of the eight stories included in this section, the best one would have to be The Boarding-House. It was pretty funny. 😄

Honestly not sure what those two short stories were supposed to be about. 😅

This book is a collection of Dickens short stories and his novel, Dombey and Son. The layout is 8 short stories from 1833-1837, followed by Dombey and Son, and ending with another set of 8 short stories from 1850-1868. I read the first three short stories today, and they were okay. I'm finding that I like Dickens's novels much better than his short stories/novellas. 😅
