Status Updates From The First Man in Rome (Mast...

A little heavy on the exposition for my taste, but very well written, so it's not too much. I love reading books where you can tell the author is having fun writing.

From page 6: "Dawn had come, late because sunless, and this was one Roman holiday the ordinary people would prefer to spend in a cramped confinement indoors, lying on their straw pallets playing the ageless game they called Hide the Sausage."

I'm only just now starting the story proper, because in my infinite wisdom I decided to read the 100+ page glossary first and only reference it frequently rather than dive straight into the story and reference the glossary constantly.
