Status Updates From Letters with Donald and How...

Nearing the end of this one. Somewhat disturbing anti-LGBTQ material in a recent letter I read, but these were written in the '20s and '30s. There are, of course, racially questionable subjects in many of Lovecraft's letters, and in some of his fiction, but this is my first exposure to queer subjects I can remember in his letters. The Thing on the Doorstep has a transgendered interpretation, certainly in adaptations

Moving through this book, I've gone through 2 sets of correspondence and I'm on the last. There is also an interview and some other writings to explore.

I still have more than 300 pages more to go on this book. This is an enjoyable volume, but it seems to be taking me a while.

This book of letters is getting better; at least they're mostly short.

Time to update this, as I have made some progress. I have been reading these after work and falling asleep. I am off tomorrow, so perhaps I will read a little during the day when I have more energy.

I might have too many books going, but I have had this book for a while and not read it. Lovecraft's letters are generally very interesting; Lovecraft may have written more than 100,000 letters in his lifetime.
