around here I can see more of the contours of "what would the kids from Village of the Damned be like as adults", but most of the plot so far is more dedicated to exploring a REALISTIC look at a post-apocalyptic society... definitely a very different reading experience than I expected

had no idea about the paedophilia accusations against Ellis when I went to the library to borrow this, I just wanted to cross something else off my "to read" list on GoodReads - so far this reads very similar to "28 Days Later" without the zombies, similar post-apocalyptic future Britain clearly a product of the late 90s/early 00s

Quite a disapointment. For years I had postponed this reading. The art is nice, but the dialogs (and the writting generally) are some of the worse I've read from Warren Ellis.
