Day 2: I think I wrote my previous review a little too cynical compared to what I am about to write now. This book has completely took a 180 compared to it's previous 1/3. What a interesting direction he has taken this novel. It is a total page turner and really has me hooked like not a lot of books are able to capture me. I hope he fleshes out some of the characters (the man with the expensive whisky being one).

Welp, I have gotten through about a third of the book after reading it for the day and I can confidently say that it is a pretty solid read thus far. I liked the way the author describes downtown Manhattan and I like the subtle foreshadows he gives for what is to come. However, I thought having Nick be a salesman and bringing up the previous Arab attacks on 1993 was a little too on the nose with it's foreshadow.

The first book I will be delving into is one on 9/11. I missed the 25th anniversary by a couple days now but this book has been on my radar for awhile now ever since I saw it on a reddit list about the best books related to 9/11. I have always been fascinated by legacy that this event has left in America and while I have watched countless hours of footage, I always feel like it is never enough to truly grasp the fear

I don’t understand why people enjoy this book. I really don’t.
