Both the Epilogue and this Appendix have given me, the reader, insights into the life and history of the author. Tidbits of her grandparents have been peppered in both.

Reading this book has been a journey, and a very insightful one, at that, for this reader.

And then, one more chapter, and I'm done!

Very near the end of Chapter 12, "Season of the Wild Wolf: Divining."

My intention is to finish reading this book before the conclusion of 2026, and I am definitely poised to make that happen.

Already in "House of the Mountain Hag: Opening Winter's Portal," and a few pages into Chapter 11, "Season of Salted Bones: Resting." At this time, in the middle of "The Storyteller Crone's Jewels: A Yuletide Tale."

I have been thoroughly impressed with Ms. Dulsky's poetic prose in this book, and the Rituals are very simple, yet no less impressive. This chapter focuses on Yule, which is significant for me.

I am now in the fourth section, before the final section, which is "House of the Mountain Hag: Opening Winter's Portal," and already a few pages into Chapter 11, "Season of Salted Bones: Resting."

Truly, this book is a journey, and I am almost at the end of this journey. Now I look forward to finding the Oracle Deck written by Ms. Dulsky.

Near the end of Chapter 9, "Season of Spice and Hearth: Dying."

There is so much to learn and to savor in all of these chapters, and although I am behind after all, currently in the Autumn chapter, and it is currently Winter, in my part of the world), I also love the lyrical prose of Ms. Dulsky's writings, so much so I wish not to rush reading through this book.

Moving along nicely in Chapter 9, "Season of Spice and Hearth: Dying."

I love the lyrical quality of the stories about the various Hags and Witches, and how they correspond to both the Sabbats, the Seasons and the corresponding Lunar Phases (New/Waxing, Full, Waning, and Dark).

Since this chapter corresponds to Autumn, I'm a tad behind, but catching up well.

At the beginning of Chapter 9: "Season of Spice and Hearth: Dying."

I find it fascinating that, without intending to do so, I time reading the chapters to the Witch's Wheel of the Year.

At the beginning of Chapter 8, "Season of the Haunted Heart: Shadowing."

Since now this chapter moves along with Samhain, and we are still in the Ostaratide, I have not only caught up, but ahead of schedule, as it were. So, I can take another break with this book, then return to it.

Moving along in Chapter 7, "Season of Orphaned Dreams: Grieving."

It fascinates me that, in spite of not having spent a great deal of time with this book, since I began reading it, I remain "tuned in" to the Seasons depicted/represented in the book, at the time those Seasons are current.

This book is so enchanting and lyrical, Magickal training and development aside, it is a beautifully written book, and If Ms. Dulsky wrote fiction, as well, I would be on my way to buying her fictional works, too.
