This book (first half of Omni 1) went from humorous and a “fresh” new fun style to comedy to offensive. The misogyny is exhausting. There are characters I LOVE that I will think of this book when I see them now. Wally West, you broke my heart. Also Sue Dibny from Identity Crisis is not Sue Dibny from JLI.

I am almost finished volume 2, but I think it’s safe to say, I enjoyed volume 1 much more. Guy Gardner is a character you are supposed to hate, and they do a great job of making him unlikable, but some of the humour didn’t age well. The late 80s/early 90s were a very different time.
