Status Updates From The Napolean of Notting Hill

Reading this book I realize that it, like the author’s other book The Man Who Was Thursday, is a little silly. The author is kind of winking at you so that you know he’s being clever. He is clever and both stories are interesting, but Chesterton isn’t taking his subject seriously such as in other dystopian novels like 1984 and Brave New World. It hurts his work.
