I love revisiting these stories from decades ago! I love that often it's teachers and young children who recognize the aliens among us. I love that there's a portal to another dimension in a cloverleaf intersection in the middle of nowhere. For me a real strength of these stories is how grounded they are in our real, if out dated, world. People react as real folks, not characters in a book..

"Love Every Third Stir" was good but sad. They didn't believe in their aunt and as a result, they lost out. Good story, but sad.

"Boona on Scancia" was cute! Lol, I guess I'm one of those who's susceptible to stories involving puppies and kittens! This one has a dog in it. It's a good one.

"Crowning Glory" was very, very good, but I'm not sure 1) how aliens who had a whole planet of experimental humans would react to and treat a planet of "free" humans, I would assume not as equals and 2) that preventing age-related disease and death is necessarily a good thing, unless you also strictly monitor and regulate the birth of humans as well.

I liked "The Walls". Better story, long enough, things are explained well enough for the reader. It had a hint of sadness, but also more than one glimmer of hope. Good story.
