i’m realizing how misleading the little “jacket copy” blurb description is. Lina’s, i may have misunderstood, bc I assumed the passionless husband was cheating on her and that’s how he lost interest. Maggie, tho, AK did not just wake up & dump her the day he turned 30, as if to imply he realized he was too old & she too young.

“He’s trying to control myself and succeeding, and she feels how a loved one’s self-control can be cruel to the other person.” Oh this book is already destroying me.
And it’s written in a way that doesn’t feel non-fiction and I can actually read it and see myself in Lina and Maggie and my stomach drops with them
