I've decided to give up on this story. Far too dark for my tastes. But those who enjoy darkness and family dysfunction might enjoy it. It's not at all what I expected having enjoyed Seascraper from start to finish!

Hard to imagine the author of Seascraper wrote such a dark story. The father is a sociopath, who deceives everyone in his life and blames it on the world. Murders a former lover, stuffs the body in the trunk while driving with his 10 year old son and friend. If that's not enough he breaks into his father's home and threatens him too!

Hard to imagine a father suffering from victim syndrome, deceit, and womanizing would take it out on his young son and attempt the murder of a former lover in front of the boy! Talk about dark! Ugh.

Mediocre..very slow, repetitious plot points..a son who travels with his deadbeat, dishonest, womanizing father and upon arrival at the TV studio is rejected due to lack of proper ID. Not what you'd call uplifting, LOL

Having thoroughly enjoyed Seascraper, the author's skill at engaging readers carries over to this story of a boy who's father has an eye for the female sex and as a result shares custody with his wife. Light hearted, I'll be curious to see how this plays out
