It's addressing a lot of struggle as muslimah. Even when we r in different side of country, i can relate to some degrees of their sturggle to mine. It is nice to see that my struggle isnt so uncommong and i am not freak.
I will recommend the book for anyone that has interest about muslimah struggle.

“The willingness of white racists to use our community’s problems as ammunition makes it incredibly hard to criticise it without feeling like a traitor” - I think it this exact sentiment as to why I am unsure about how I feel about this book. The blatant obfuscation of Islam’s issues takes it away from being a genuinely nuanced discussion of what it means to be a muslim woman

I am somewhat enjoying it so far, but I think it’s very slanted around one kind experience- which is weird to say bc the whole point is to get 17 different muslim women’s experiences
