I can't remember when or why I added this book to my TBR. Nothing of consequences happened until a little over the halfway mark.

Coming from KJ Charles' A Charm of Magpie series, this book was somewhat of a disappointment. The narration of both lead characters were monotonous. Their relationship felt forced, some smoke but no fire. I could not decide if this was a romance or horror.

Easily. You set boundaries and enforce them.
