Status Updates From Leap

Personally not a favorite, written like a stream of consciousness that isn’t apparently tied to a specific timeline or obvious direction. Hard to follow and by this point in the book I want to feel more invested. Probably won’t finish honestly.

So far this is a stream of consciousness poetic hallucination. Minimal boundaries between the flesh and blood reality of being in Madrid, and imagining herself in the painting.

So far, so odd. Williams grew up with the 2 side panels (Paradise & Hell) in her bedroom. The first chapter is ponderings on the Paradise panel of the triptych, her visit to the Prado and the original work, vignettes of Madrid, and her life within the Mormon church. Some beautiful writing here, though I’m still not sure what to make of it.
