I like this passage. "In some mysterious way that he did not yet understand, the idea of androgyny was central to what made humanity human. Men and women were not so much two distinct sexes as they were unified beings in whom the same opposing characteristics had been differently reconciled. Each individual was, in his own way, a unique blending of masculine and feminine traits..." An interesting perceptual chapter.
