Sydney claims to have reached number four, presumably in her Holiday Harem -- none of whom were respondents to her ad. Let's see, three are definitely Knox (her childhood friend), Bose (her boss), and Gage (her shadowy spy). I think the fourth was Lance, her personal trainer, but I might misremember.

Chapter 13 completed. So far, it seems to be Knox and Sydney's shadowy stalker.

Sydney and her BFFs had a nice weekend vacation, and she has returned home. Gage is visiting.

Just beginning Chapter 12, the day after arrival.

Blaine has just run out of the coffee shop, terrified and mortified. The poor guy. I'm reminded of an incident in my distant past.

In the middle of the fourth date, with Blaine. They're actually discussing her harem.

The harem ad has failed, but its very existence and publishing progressively leads Sydney to realize that she's had her harem all along.

Sydney has had the most shivery meeting with her boss. This evening, she will have her third date, consequence of her ad. Recall that the first two were disasters.

The end of Chapter 8. Sydney has just played a Q-and-A game with Gage, the shadowy PI whose been following her.

Sydney has finally met the stalker whom the stepmother hired to stalk her.

Sydney has just left work to go home and prepare for her first date in response to her harem-wanted ad. Brian's date is that very night.

Apparently the dastardly deed was done. A couple dozen responses to Sidney's ad for a harem of guys.

First was her boss. Now there's her physical trainer. Who's next?

So her confrontation with Boss is over, and Boss has given her a huge stack of paper to edit. Not Sydney's preferred punishment -- not by a long shot.

The author threw us a movie trope. Sydney (the protagonist) is confronting Boss about being an hour late and Boss begins to ravish her -- but it's all a fantasy.

The protagonist (a young lady with her perfect job with a publication) has just composed her fake ad for a harem of guys -- just for fun, mind you.
