i’m so surprised by how fast i’m getting through this book, i don’t normally read this fast but i love the unlikely girl working for MI5 thing during the war it is so cool

I'm glad I kept reading. The tone and plot shifted once the war was over and the spy stopped fantasizing so much. She became more interesting along with the characters around her in the BBC broadcasting house where she worked.

The flippant style is a bit grating.

An 18 yr old as a spy? Much of the language and fantasy is definitely that of an 18 yr old in 1940, but it's a stretch to see why she was recruited. Lots of sarcastic humor and skimming over the costs of being a British spy. But I'll carry on and finish it.
