Just a story and a half to go. I really enjoyed reading Micromegas by Voltaire, for it asked the question of what it would be like if someone from the planet Saturn and the moon Sirius came to Earth.

I made my way through Mateo Falcone. Quite an interesting story. I especially found it interesting that they talked about my relatives, the Caporali (Caporale being the singular).

Got to The Unknown Masterpiece by de Balzac and The Attack on the Mill by Zola. I must say that The Attack on the Mill really made me think about naturalism, war, and humanity. The realization made for something very thought-provoking. I was especially curious to familiarize myself with Emile Zola's writing and I was impressed!

Finished Flaubert's story about St. Julian the Hospitaler and Maupassant's two short stories. The Necklace remains one of literature's finest, while The Horla and St. Julian the Hospitaler are definitely going to leave me thinking beyond the text (and they may warrant rereads).
