DNF it was difficult to even get to this point

I've tried to push through with this book but it's just not happening. The dreaded book slump it is - DNF'd at 19%. I'll try again later in the year.

Pfffffffttttt .. ffftttt ..tt . pfffffffffffff.t.t.t.t... (And numerous other fart noises made by the mouth 💨 💨 💨 🤣) Yep ..... I'm thinking a book slump is definitely happening.

Either I’ll getting used to the writing or it has improved. Still a lot of run on sentences.

Long, long sentences full of awkward phrases, interspersed with modern lingo. The story seems interesting.

Not a fan so far but I’m still in the back story. I’m sure once she actually gets to a crime -any crime would do- my interest may be piqued.
